This video of an insanely awesome jump-roping team is long, but just when you think these crazy em-effers can’t top themselves, they totally do, and if you hang on all the way to the end, you’re rewarded with … oh, I won’t ruin it, but it involves a mascot. Also, I think I just found my new sport.

Back in the day, the cure for insanity was to have a hole drilled in one's skull to let all the crazy out. Some days I laugh at this childish logic. Other days I'm all, "How do I get in on this? I'm willing to sign a waiver."

I’ll have to watch the video at work (my poor, ancient home PC can’t handle it) but if you’re at all interested, you should check out the 2007 documentary on jump roping called (wait for it) “Jump.” I sat enthralled through the entire thing, and thought, Dude, I just watched a movie about *jumping rope.*” Totally worth it, in a Spellbound kind of way.
Footloose! I think the crowd-panning shots were my favorite, especially when they held it on the guy who just kept clapping and clapping, and clapping.
I found your wonderful blog through Looneytunes. Thanks for sharing this amazing performance. I’ve linked to it on Twitter and Facebook.
Hugs to your kitty.
Okay, I’m clearly having hormonal issues, but that video just made me cry. Dude! They OWNED that audience. (Which was totally filled with naysayers at the beginning…)
*pumping my fist in the air with alarming intensity*
And here I thought I was doing well cuz I learned to double-dutch in the 4th grade. Clearly I suck. LOL
These girls ROCKED!
